Hi, I am Paula Akers and I live in Campton, Kentucky. We are located in Eastern Kentucky by the Red River Gorge. I am a student at Arizona State University working on my Bachelors degree in Nutrition. I started this path last year when Aramark started the Frontline program with free tuition. As I continue my path. what I want to do with my degree has changed many times and will probably change again.
I have battled with weight, metabolic syndrome, and fatty liver disease That is when I started researching the Mediterranean Diet. As I researched I realized it is more than just a diet it is a lifestyle change. Then I came across an article about mindful eating I realized how many times I reached for a snack because I was bored or just mindlessly eating because it was there. I would like to help people find the beauty inside and become the best they can be. I want to help people with healthy choices to feel better about themselves.
